Northville Township’s firefighters and police officers competed in the annual Trenton firefighters charity hockey tournament on April 9^th and 10^th.  The tournament consisted of round robin play of four teams in each division, with the top 2 teams competing for the division championship.  Northville Township lost its first game to Southfield Firefighters 5-3.  They won their second game against London Ontario Firefighters 4-0, and they tied their last game against Windsor Ontario Firefighters 3-3 (firefighter Hendrian had an unsuccessful breakaway in overtime).  The team finished the tournament 1-1-1, and just missed playing for the division title.

It is with deep regret that the Westland Fire Fighters must announce that Brother Todd Stanaway passed away on 2/24/08 at 1445 hours.  He is survived by his wife and daughter.
